Nestled along the scenic Highway 4 corridor in Calaveras County, Vallecito Union School District (VUSD) serves the communities of Vallecito, Murphys, Avery, Arnold, White Pines, Dorrington, and surrounding areas. Our three schools—Albert Michelson Elementary, Hazel Fischer Elementary, and Avery Middle School—serve approximately 620 students with the support of more than 100 dedicated employees.
