On-Site Ecommerce Product Photo Shoot Producer & Showroom Staging Coordinator Confidential Benicia, CA Job Details Full-time $40 - $55 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Project team coordination Google Sheets Google Drive Visual merchandising Team leadership Labeling Merchandising Shopify E-commerce Merchandising display arrangement Full Job Description
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Fitness Superstore / French Fitness has a 4,400 sq. ft. showroom containing commercial fitness equipment. We already have a photographer and an internal product-image editing workflow. We need a highly organized on-site producer/coordinator to make each shoot day efficient and ensure every product receives a complete, accurate, ecommerce-ready raw photo set. This is not primarily a photography, retouching, warehouse labor, or remote asset-management position. You will coordinate the photographer, product team, and approved showroom/warehouse staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Audit the equipment physically present in the showroom against the approved Shopify product/SKU list. Build the daily shoot order and product-level shot list before photography begins. Verify the exact product code, model, color, configuration, attachments, and included components before each product is photographed.
Inspect and stage each machine:
remove dust and fingerprints, align seats and adjustment pins, organize cables and attachments, remove unrelated clutter, and flag visible damage, missing parts, incorrect labels, paint issues, or assembly concerns. Request cleaning, repair review, or repositioning from the appropriate company employee before the product is photographed. Direct company-approved warehouse/install staff when a heavy machine must be moved. You will not be expected or permitted to move heavy commercial equipment by yourself. Coordinate a consistent PDP photo set, including straight front, straight rear, left/right profiles, front 3/4 angles, alternate operating/configuration positions, and close-ups of adjustment points, pin holes, handles, weight stacks, pulleys, footplates, upholstery, labels, branding, and model plates where applicable. Review images on-site at full size and catch distortion, reflections, blocked features, clutter, inconsistent positioning, missing angles, or wrong-product issues before the machine is reset. Keep raw image sets separated and labeled by exact SKU/product code. Upload raw files into the correct Google Drive product folder and update the completion, issue, movement, and reshoot tracker. Leave the showroom organized after each shoot block.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2 years of relevant experience in commercial photo production, ecommerce merchandising, visual merchandising, studio coordination, product-content operations, or a comparable detail-heavy production role. Strong visual judgment and the confidence to stop a shot when the machine is not clean, correctly configured, or properly positioned. Excellent SKU, filename, checklist, and Google Drive/Google Sheets accuracy. Comfortable working around large commercial equipment in a warehouse/showroom environment. Reliable transportation to Benicia and weekday availability during showroom hours. Clear, responsive communication and the ability to coordinate several people without losing product-level details.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with fitness equipment, industrial products, furniture, appliances, automotive products, or other large physical products. Experience working with tethered product photography or reviewing images live during a shoot. Familiarity with Shopify product pages and ecommerce image standards.
SAFETY AND SCOPE BOUNDARIES
Do not move, drag, lift, disassemble, repair, or energize heavy equipment without approval and trained company support. Do not conceal product differences or defects. Flag them for product/QC review before photography. Do not overwrite, rename, move, or delete original source files outside the approved upload workflow.
PAID WORKING TEST
The finalist will complete a 4-hour paid on-site pilot covering approximately five representative machines.
The test deliverables include:
Physical product/SKU audit Prioritized shot list Prep and issue log Complete raw image folders labeled by SKU Completed tracker entries End-of-test summary identifying reshoots, repairs, movement needs, and workflow improvements No final retouching is required for the test. We are evaluating organization, visual quality assurance, product accuracy, leadership, safety judgment, responsiveness, and the ability to prevent avoidable reshoots.
Pay:
$40.00 - $55.00 per hour Application Question(s): Describe one comparable product, studio, merchandising, or production-coordination project you personally managed. What would you inspect before approving a large fitness machine for photography? How would you keep raw images from multiple similar-looking products matched to the correct SKU? Share examples of product photography, shot lists, staging work, trackers, or production documents you created or managed. Confirm that you can work on-site in Benicia during weekday showroom hours. Confirm your earliest availability for a paid 4-hour working test.
Work Location:
In person
