The Opportunity:
Our home office is looking to add a Corporate Regional Director of Operations to the team. Responsible for providing task force coverage by supporting Front Office, Housekeeping and Food and Beverage operations. Manage projects as directed by Director of Operations. Maintain the operational and service standards set forth by Kamla Hotels. Regional Operations Director is responsible for the overall success of the hotel including Revenue, Profit, Quality, Sales & Marketing, Community Involvement, and Leadership.
Essential Functions:
Commute and oversee the Hotels in our portfolio. Manages full responsibilities as acting General Manager, managing all revenues, cost controls, team development, staffing levels, and daily operations. Operate assigned department covering day-to-day responsibilities. Conducts safety inspections and compliance, administering of safety awareness programs and training, conducting accident investigations when needed, and timely communication with home office. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with department managers. Manage guest complaints, conducting research to develop the most effective solutions. Listen and extend assistance to resolve problems. Approve time and attendance records, ensuring employees are clocking in and out properly. Review and approve property payroll daily. Ensure timely submission of approved timecards to Payroll on a semi-monthly basis. Complete the daily audit, handle daily bank deposits, review, and approve transmittals and other front office paperwork and reports. Oversight of sales and marketing activity and results. Leads and/or participates in sales and marketing strategy meetings. Participates in efforts to secure business, and new business opportunities as needed. Leads department heads to ensure overall profit, service and team member satisfaction goals are met or exceeded. Facilitates hotel meetings (i.e. Staff Meeting; All Team Member Meetings, etc) Meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue, profit, guest satisfaction, product quality standards and budgeted profit margin for hotel. Completes other reasonable duties as requested by leadership Ability to derive insights from program performance data, create a compelling presentation narrative, and present to external stakeholders in a way that is understandable and actionable
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Knowledge of sales and hospitality principles and practices is expected. Strong technology skills with a variety of systems - Brand PMS, Sales, Medallia, Quore, M3. At least 3 years experience in a Rooms or F&B department within Hotel. Proficiency in the use and operation of computer systems with the ability to navigate efficiently through Microsoft Office Must have strong English skills, both oral and written. Strong presentation, communication and organizational skills required. Ability to make timely, effective decisions. Valid driver's license with proof of auto liability insurance. Dependable. EXPERIENCE
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related major; 4 years' experience in a digital marketing capacity preferably in hospitality and / or travel. OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related major; 3 year experience in Marketing or a comparable professional area.
