Tasting Room & Hospitality Associate (Experienced)

Vezér Family Vineyard | Suisun Valley, CA At Vezér Family Vineyard, hospitality is at the core of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced, polished, and service-driven professional who can deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving wine sales and club engagement. This role supports operations across multiple locations, including our tasting rooms and private estate, and plays a key part in maintaining our high standard of service. Key Responsibilities

Provide a warm, professional, and engaging welcome to all guests, anticipating needs and creating a memorable experience

Deliver elevated tastings, tours, and curated guest experiences for both consumers and trade

Confidently share the Vezér story, wine portfolio, and winemaking philosophy

Drive direct-to-consumer sales, including wine club conversions and bottle/case sales

Maintain strong knowledge of wine club benefits and effectively communicate membership value

Execute daily tasting room operations including opening/closing procedures

Process transactions accurately using POS systems

Assist with wine club fulfillment, inventory, and shipping support

Prepare and present food offerings (e.g., charcuterie) in alignment with brand standards

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all guest-facing areas

Support winery events, private experiences, and peak service periods across locations

Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service

Qualifications

Minimum 1-2 years of tasting room, hospitality, or wine sales experience (preferred)

Strong sales ability with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals

Outgoing, professional, and highly personable with excellent communication skills

Passion for wine with working knowledge of varietals, vintages, and basic viticulture

Ability to speak confidently about wine regions, production, and differences in style

Experience with wine club programs and guest relationship building preferred

Must be available to work weekends consistently (Saturday & Sunday required)

Flexible availability for holidays and special events

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (case of wine)

Must have reliable transportation

Preferred (but not required)

Experience with POS and wine club platforms (e.g., Commerce7 or similar)

Event or hospitality experience in upscale environments

Food handler certification (California Food Handler Card)

Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
