$20-$25/hour + tips Overview Burtech Family Vineyard is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven wine professional to join the team at our exciting new Sonoma location. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing luxury hospitality and wine brand focused on exceptional guest experiences, elevated food and wine service, and memorable community events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and is passionate about wine, hospitality, food service, and sales. The ideal candidate brings charisma, professionalism, and an entrepreneurial spirit while curating unforgettable tasting experiences that inspire wine sales, wine club memberships, and lasting customer relationships. This role will support daily tasting room operations while also participating in winery events, private experiences, and select off-site activations throughout Sonoma County and the Bay Area. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Hospitality Deliver warm, polished, and engaging hospitality to all guests Lead educational wine tastings and present wines confidently and enthusiastically Build meaningful guest relationships that encourage return visits and club loyalty Maintain detailed knowledge of wines, vineyard history, winemaking, and current offerings Food & Beverage Service Take guest orders for pizza, salads, charcuterie boards, wine, and merchandise Communicate orders with kitchen staff Deliver food and wine service efficiently and professionally Coordinate timing between tasting experiences and food service Maintain high presentation and sanitation standards for all food offerings Sales & Brand Growth Promote wine sales, merchandise, and wine club memberships Process wine orders for in-house, take-out, and shipping customers Confidently upsell wines, food pairings, and club memberships Support sales goals and help grow overall brand visibility Represent the winery at events, pop-ups, and community activations Operations & Facility Support Open and close the tasting room and hospitality areas Assist with event setup, breakdown, and operational preparation Process transactions accurately using POS systems (C7) Support inventory organization and merchandise displays Participate in shared daily facility cleaning duties, including: Dishwashing and polishing glassware Sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and restroom upkeep Maintaining the cleanliness of guest-facing and back-of-house areas Qualifications At least 21 Valid Driver's License Valid RBS Alcohol Server Certification Valid Food Handler Certification Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required A passion for wine Desired Experience & Skills Hospitality, restaurant, winery, or tasting room experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Sales experience with upselling ability preferred Wine club or membership sales experience is a plus Experience with POS systems (Commerce7 experience preferred) Self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented Passion for wine, hospitality, food, and luxury guest experiences Benefits & Opportunities Competitive hourly compensation plus tips and performance incentives Potential eligibility for healthcare and retirement benefits Wine discounts and team perks Access to exciting winery events and off-site experiences Opportunity for advancement within a growing hospitality and wine brand Work in a dynamic environment centered around wine, food, music, and community About Us Burtech Family Vineyard is an award-winning, boutique, family-owned winery with vineyard properties in Kenwood, CA, Glen Ellen, CA, and Encinitas, CA.
