Job Description

We are seeking a Field Manager for utility access road construction and data mapping to become an integral part of our team! Days consisting of exploring remote access roads, managing field operations, using GIS technology, and supporting utility infrastructure projects throughout the South bay and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and report access road conditions, Collect data using GIS software Daily job summaries, Determine Scope of Work. Communicate Safety hazards, concerns while working in the field Provide daily operations oversight for outside teams Document Work progress with crews. ​
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Construction and working around heavy equipment GIS data, Google Earth, KMZ, Word, Powerpoint, Excel knowledge helpful. Hiking and navigation. Roads may be non-drivable and some require a few miles of hiking to collect data Comfortable driving trucks, 4x4 driving, off road driving. Rural roads drainage and road shaping Strong project management skills Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Strong leadership qualities Communication is Key- Keeping Team informed on day to day activities Construction knowledge and working around heavy equipment This position will be 85% in the field work and 15% of office work. Office work can be performed at home. We are looking for someone eager to be out in field, works well independently but can take direction from others, Communicates well with clients and crews, and willing to work in remote locations. Job would be full time position, working 40 hours and overtime as needed. Hours could vary day to day but the ability to start early would be necessary. All tools and equipment needed would be provided. Paid holidays and time off. 401k available. Work location varies around the south bay. San Jose to San Francisco, Concord and Gilroy. Ideally, closer to the south bay will be better to reduce commute times to various locations. Work Truck provided.
