This position will report to the VP of Global Tax Strategy and Operations and will work with other team members to lead the Company's initiatives to scale the tax function through the use of advanced technologies (Artificial Intelligence) and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a breadth of experience in leadership of people, tax concepts, and driving process and technology initiatives at a multinational corporation, and have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a unique blend of tax expertise, technological fluency, and exceptional leadership skills. You will operate independently in Meta's fast-paced, dynamic environment, driving cross-functional initiatives that shape the future of our tax organization.
Director, Global Tax Operations Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the long-term vision for global tax operations, aligning technology and process improvements with Meta's broader business objectives. Lead the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of advanced tax technologies, specifically leveraging AI and automation to streamline compliance, reporting, and forecasting processes. Continuously identify and implement process improvements across the global tax lifecycle, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and robust risk management. Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of tax and technology professionals. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence. Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Finance, Engineering, Legal, and business units to ensure seamless integration of tax requirements into corporate initiatives and systems. Oversee the execution of complex global tax operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls while managing relationships with external advisors and technology vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
15+ years of progressive experience in tax operations, tax technology, or a related field within a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams in a complex, fast-paced environment Demonstrated experience driving large-scale technology transformations and process automation within a tax or finance function (experience with AI implementation is highly preferred) Deep understanding of global tax concepts, compliance requirements, and financial reporting standards (e.g., ASC 740) Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex tax and technology concepts to non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional, global initiatives
