A property management organization is seeking an experienced Portfolio Operations Director to provide senior-level leadership across a multifamily affordable housing portfolio. This position is responsible for strengthening portfolio performance, developing property management leaders, and supporting consistent and effective operations across multiple communities. The ideal candidate brings extensive multifamily property management leadership experience and demonstrated expertise in affordable housing operations and compliance. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to property management leaders and teams. Establish clear expectations and promote accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement. Monitor portfolio performance and implement strategies that strengthen operational and financial results. Ensure affordable housing operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory and program requirements. Collaborate across the organization to support effective operational and business decision-making. Provide oversight of property conditions, maintenance performance, safety, and operational risk. Evaluate performance trends and identify opportunities to improve results across the portfolio. Develop productive relationships with internal and external business partners. Provide oversight and guidance related to portfolio financial performance and planning. Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, systems, reporting, and operational efficiency. Ensure property management teams have the leadership, direction, and support necessary to achieve performance expectations. Qualifications Extensive leadership experience in multifamily property management, including responsibility for multiple properties, a portfolio, department, or comparable operation. Affordable housing operations and compliance experience is required. Strong working knowledge of affordable housing regulatory and program requirements. Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing property management professionals. Strong understanding of multifamily property operations and portfolio performance. Experience working with property management technology and business systems. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and exercise sound business judgment. Ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field preferred. Relevant industry credentials are a plus. Ability to travel between properties and attend business meetings as required. $10,000 Sign-On Bonus The successful candidate will be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, paid in installments based on continued employment and good standing: $2,500 after 90 days of employment $2,500 after 6 months of employment $5,000 after 1 year of employment Each installment is contingent upon the employee remaining actively employed and in good standing at the time the applicable payment becomes due.
