Salary Range:
$71,000.00 - $80,000.00 Gjelina LA in Venice is seeking an experienced Floor Manager to join our team. As a high-volume, high-energy restaurant anchored in ingredient-driven food and thoughtful hospitality, we look for leaders who bring professionalism, warmth, and a steady presence. Position Summary The Floor Manager leads the front-of-house team and ensures smooth, consistent execution of our service standards. This hands-on role supports daily operations, communication between FOH and BOH, staff training, guest relations, and overall floor leadership. The ideal candidate brings a calm, positive approach while reinforcing teamwork, accountability, and hospitality. Key Responsibilities Lead and support floor staff to uphold service excellence. Maintain floor readiness, ambiance, cleanliness, and overall guest flow. Manage daily operations, including staff coordination, guest communication, and issue resolution. Conduct pre-shift meetings and assist with menu updates and training. Oversee staff performance, coaching, and development. Ensure compliance with California health, safety, and company policies. Address guest feedback promptly and professionally. Assist with financial tasks, such as reviewing P&L and supporting budget goals. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in a floor management or leadership role within a high-volume, elevated dining environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay composed under pressure and lead by example. Proficient with POS systems, reporting, and general operational processes. Skilled at training, motivating, and developing teams. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. California Food Handler Certification and working knowledge of LA County Health Department regulations preferred. Full Availability (AMs & PMs) Required Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
