About FS8 FS8 is a new-generation boutique fitness concept that brings together Pilates, Tone and Yoga in one dynamic, low-impact training experience. Built around functional movement, strength, mobility and mindfulness, FS8 combines reformer-based training, resistance work and guided movement in a modern, highly engaging studio environment. As FS8 continues to grow globally, FS8 Poway is launching as a brand-new studio in the local community - creating an exciting opportunity to join the founding team, help shape the studio culture from day one, and be part of building a standout fitness experience in Poway. Position Overview FS8 Poway is seeking an energetic, highly organized Head Trainer & Studio Operations Manager to join our founding team and play a key leadership role in launching and growing the studio. This is an opportunity to help build the member experience, coaching culture and day-to-day operations from the ground up while representing an innovative fitness concept entering the Poway market. The role combines the core responsibilities of an FS8 Head Trainer with selected studio management responsibilities. The studio owners will remain responsible for business strategy, finance, legal and compliance, franchise relations, pricing and overall marketing strategy, while this role serves as the primary on-site leader responsible for turning those priorities into an exceptional daily studio experience. Training & Programming Leadership Deliver high-quality Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Tone and Yoga-based FS8 programming in accordance with FS8 standards. Ensure consistent class quality and member experience across the coaching team. Help trainers improve cueing, class flow, member engagement, modifications, safety and overall delivery. Ensure trainers consistently implement FS8 brand and training standards. Lead trainer onboarding and in-studio training. Create and manage the trainer schedule and ensure adequate class coverage. Help foster a positive, accountable and team-oriented studio culture. Daily Studio Operations Serve as the primary on-site leader for day-to-day studio operations. Monitor cleanliness, presentation, equipment and facilities conditions, inventory, and the overall member-facing environment. Troubleshoot basic booking, studio technology and member account issues. Ensure team members follow established studio procedures and SOPs. Member Experience & Retention Build strong relationships with members and help create a welcoming, inclusive studio culture. Support new-member onboarding and help new members become comfortable with the FS8 experience. Help organize member appreciation initiatives, challenges and studio events. Follow up with leads and prospective members and help convert trials into memberships. Support founding-member and presale initiatives before opening. Participate in local community events, partnerships and studio activations. Help create authentic in-studio content for social media and support influencer or community partnership initiatives. Qualifications Mat and Reformer Pilates certification required. Comprehensive Pilates education strongly preferred. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Strong understanding of anatomy, movement quality and exercise safety. Demonstrated experience teaching group Reformer Pilates. Experience leading, mentoring or developing instructors strongly preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and scheduling skills. Comfortable with membership sales and member retention conversations. Comfortable using technology and studio-management systems; Mindbody or similar experience preferred. Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, reliability and professionalism. Availability for early mornings, evenings and weekends as required. Passion for Pilates, strength training, mobility, wellness and the FS8 training philosophy.
Pay:
$52,905.36 - $63,713.98 per year
