Job Description

Operations Manager Arnett Designs, Inc. Rancho Santa Margarita, CA Job Details Full-time $31 - $34 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Vendor relationship building Spreadsheets Materials management in manufacturing Forecasting FileMaker Root cause analysis Production scheduling Full Job Description Job Summary We make the credentials that get people backstage at the biggest concerts, races, and games in the country. Clients like Live Nation, the NFL, NASCAR, and the PGA Tour trust us because their event happens on a date that doesn't move, and neither do our deadlines. We need someone to run the shop floor like a conductor: every job in the right order, on the right press, out the door on time. This is a hands-on role in a 20-person shop. You'll own the schedule, the vendors, and the ship dates, and you'll be the bridge between what sales promises and what production can deliver. What you'll do Build and run the daily press, finishing, and ship schedule, working backward from event dates Forecast capacity from quotes in the pipeline, not just booked jobs Batch similar jobs to cut changeovers and keep presses running Slot rush jobs in without breaking promises already made Decide when work goes to outside vendors, manage those relationships, and track it back through the door Manage material inventory and reorder points Be the final quality gate before jobs ship Run a daily production huddle and assign work across prepress, production, and shipping Root-cause reprints and late jobs, then fix the process Report on-time delivery, reprint rate, rush volume, and outsourcing spend to ownership What we're looking for 3+ years in print production, manufacturing, or operations, with at least some of it scheduling other people's work Comfortable saying "no, but here's what we can do" to sales and customers Calm under deadline pressure. Rush jobs are the norm here, not the exception. Strong with spreadsheets and scheduling tools; FileMaker experience is a bonus Digital and offset print familiarity preferred, but a great manufacturing scheduler can learn our product
