Job Description
O2 Employment Services is partnering with a reputable manufacturing company to find their next Operations Manager in Redding, CA. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing daily production operations and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing or production leadership experience and be comfortable managing supervisors, production flow, labor utilization, scheduling, quality, and overall shop performance. We are looking for someone who leads with accountability, communicates effectively across departments, and enjoys identifying opportunities to improve processes and keep operations running smoothly. - Compensation & Schedule $75,000
- 80,000 annually Full-time, exempt position Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm Half days most Fridays Operations Manager
- Responsibilities Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time completion Oversee production schedules, workflow, labor utilization, and capacity Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and other assigned team members Conduct regular production floor walks to monitor progress and identify potential issues Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, delays, and resource constraints Maintain visibility and accountability for work-in-process (WIP) Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Project Management, Sales, and other departments to keep production moving efficiently Monitor production performance through KPIs, scorecards, and operational metrics Hold teams accountable for established safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and performance standards Participate in hiring, performance management, employee development, disciplinary actions, and other supervisory responsibilities Lead and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly production meetings Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, risks, and expectations across departments Partner with leadership to evaluate production capacity, staffing needs, and resource allocation Ensure established production processes, technical requirements, and quality standards are consistently followed Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions when production or quality issues arise Identify and implement opportunities to improve production flow, efficiency, quality, and overall performance Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee development Operations Manager•Qualifications 5+ years of manufacturing, production, fabrication, truck equipment, or related operations experience required 3+ years of progressive leadership experience managing supervisors, team leads, or production teams required Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, workflow, and labor utilization Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve operational performance Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing production needs Experience working with KPIs, scorecards, or other production performance metrics Continuous improvement and process improvement experience preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management systems Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
