Work Location:
In Person AEC Moreno Design Inc. is looking for a highly organized, dependable, and hands-on Finance & Operations Manager who enjoys being at the center of a growing business and making sure things get done. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong accounting foundation but also enjoys the operational side of a business. You won't be limited to one narrow area—you'll work closely with company leadership and have visibility into finance, accounting, office operations, employees, customers, vendors, and overall business processes. We're looking for someone who can manage the details while still seeing the bigger picture. The right person is proactive, comfortable working independently, follows through without needing constant direction, and genuinely enjoys finding better ways to keep a business organized and moving forward. What You'll Be Doing Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, collections, and customer follow-up. Perform bank and account reconciliations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with month-end close. Prepare financial reports and supporting information for leadership. Coordinate payroll processing and maintain accurate payroll-related records. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning. Help improve accounting procedures, controls, and internal workflows. Keep day-to-day office and administrative operations organized and moving. Coordinate vendors, supplies, scheduling, records, documents, and operational needs. Assist with proposals, permits, project documentation, customer follow-up, and business development activities. Help coordinate employee onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and routine HR processes in partnership with the company's HR resources. Serve as a trusted point of coordination between leadership, employees, customers, vendors, accounting, and outside business partners. Identify problems before they become bigger issues and bring practical solutions forward. What We're Looking For We'd love to meet someone who has hands-on accounting experience and is ready to take greater ownership of the financial and operational side of a business. A strong candidate will have experience with accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, general ledger activity, financial reporting, and month-end processes, along with a working knowledge of GAAP. Experience with payroll, employee administration, onboarding, or HR coordination is a big plus. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but we are also open to considering equivalent relevant experience. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is organized, accountable, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable taking ownership. You should be someone who notices what needs to be done, follows through, communicates when something needs attention, and can successfully manage multiple priorities without needing constant supervision. Why This Role Is Different This position is designed to grow with the right person . You'll initially work closely with leadership and senior accounting support while learning AEC Moreno's clients, projects, systems, and financial processes. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll have the opportunity to take increasing ownership of routine accounting, financial reporting, process improvement, and day-to-day business operations. If you're looking for a role where you can make an impact, build trusted relationships with leadership, and grow beyond a traditional accounting or office-management position, we'd love to hear from you .
