Jewelry Inventory & Operations Manager - Luxury/Antique Jewelry Lang Antiques | San Francisco, CA Full-Time | Onsite Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays Do you know jewelry—and love making operations run smoothly? Lang Antiques, one of the country's premier dealers of antique and vintage jewelry, is looking for an experienced Jewelry Inventory & Operations Manager to oversee the movement, accuracy, organization, and operational flow of our high-value jewelry inventory. This is not a warehouse inventory position and it is not primarily a sales role. We are specifically looking for someone who has worked in the jewelry industry and understands the precision, care, documentation, and accountability required when managing fine and high-value jewelry. If you have managed jewelry inventory, store operations, merchandise operations, or inventory control for a fine jewelry retailer, antique or estate jeweler, luxury retailer, auction house, or similar environment, we would like to hear from you.

What You'll Own:

You will oversee the operational journey of our jewelry inventory from the time a piece enters Lang Antiques through restoration, cataloging, photography, pricing, merchandising, e-commerce, retail presentation, and ultimately sale.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the complete lifecycle and movement of high-value jewelry inventory Maintaining accurate inventory records and chain-of-custody controls Coordinating inventory workflow between gemology, workshop, photography, cataloging, e-commerce, merchandising, and retail teams Managing receiving, intake, documentation, tracking, and quality-control processes Conducting physical inventories, cycle counts, reconciliations, and variance research Monitoring inventory aging, consignment inventory, sales activity, and workshop productivity Maintaining accurate inventory data and reporting Improving processes, procedures, workflow, and accountability Partnering with leadership to identify inventory trends and operational improvements Helping ensure our extraordinary collection is accurately documented, protected, and ready for sale

Who We're Looking For:

Jewelry industry experience is required.

Our ideal candidate has:

8+ years of inventory operations, retail operations, or inventory management experience At least 3-4 years of experience working in a jewelry store or jewelry business Previous management or leadership experience Strong knowledge of inventory control, reconciliation, physical counts, receiving, and operational workflows Experience handling fine jewelry, watches, luxury goods, antiques, art, or other high-value merchandise Strong Excel and reporting skills Experience with Magento/Adobe Commerce or another sophisticated inventory/e-commerce platform Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through The ability to coordinate multiple departments and keep complex workflows moving A process-improvement mindset and the confidence to establish standards and accountability Experience with antique, vintage, or estate jewelry will put you at the top of our list. Graduate Gemologist (GG) credentials are a plus, but they are not required. Why Lang Antiques? Pay:

$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
