Job Description
Job Overview The Janitorial Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple commercial facilities within an assigned region. This position ensures all contractual obligations are met through effective leadership, quality control, staffing, payroll management, customer service, and operational excellence. The Area Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for field employees and clients while maintaining high service standards, safety compliance, and financial accountability. Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of multiple commercial accounts within an assigned territory.
- Provide hands-on training to field employees on proper cleaning techniques.

- Ensure all contractual cleaning specifications and service level agreements are consistently achieved.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled site inspections to verify quality standards.
- Develop action plans to address quality deficiencies and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate staffing coverage for vacations, call-offs, emergencies, and special projects.
- Monitor labor hours to ensure operations remain within budget.
- Ensure facilities are properly stocked with cleaning supplies, consumables, and equipment.
- Respond promptly to customer requests, service concerns, and emergency situations.
- Ensure employees understand company policies, procedures, and customer expectations.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings.
- Review and approve employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure payroll is submitted accurately and on time in accordance with company deadlines.
- Verify employee hours, overtime, meal periods, and rest breaks for compliance with company policy and state labor laws.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies before submission. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years supervising multiple commercial facilities or regional operations.
- Working knowledge of payroll processing and timekeeping systems.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned region.
- Experience managing union and/or non-union workforces preferred.
- Ability to identify and communicate areas for improvement.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and work environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to handle conflicts and challenges effectively and professionally.
