Posted 10/2025 Job Description Job Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all maintenance operations within a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. This role ensures that all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with regulatory standards (FAA, EASA, etc.), OEM specifications, and internal quality systems. The position requires strong leadership and technical expertise to drive performance, safety, and continuous improvement across all maintenance functions. This role reports to the Director of Maintenance (DOM). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct and manage all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations. Develop and execute short- and long-term maintenance plans to optimize labor and reduce downtime.
Education:
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.Licenses/Certifications:
A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Certification required. Minimum 10 years of hands-on A&P experience with large commercial aircraft.Additional Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in budgeting, scheduling, and operational planning. Strong focus on safety culture and compliance. Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with ERP or Maintenance software (e.g., Corridor Go) preferred. Effective verbal and written communication in English; Spanish language skills are a plus. Understanding of California labor laws is beneficial. Familiarity with timekeeping systems (e.g., Paycom, ADP, Kronos) and performance management processes preferred.
