Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Yampa Valley Medical Center (YVMC) seeks a Director of Clinic Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for physician practices, outpatient clinics, and select hospital-based departments within scope. This role is responsible for optimizing access, patient experience, and financial performance across a multi-site ambulatory network. The Director serves as an operational leader collaborating closely with senior leadership and the medical group to translate organizational priorities into action and drive alignment between providers, clinic operations, and system resources. Summary The Director of Clinic Operations provides leadership and oversight for YVMC's physician medical practices and outpatient clinics, including select hospital-based departments as assigned. The Director is accountable for operational performance, growth, and financial outcomes, ensuring alignment with YVMC's mission and system objectives. This role engages with physicians, advanced practice providers, and system functional teams to support high-quality care, workforce engagement, and long-term sustainability. Key Responsibilities Lead operations for outpatient clinics across a multi-site ambulatory network, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, access goals, and quality standards. Develop and implement operational strategies responding to market demands, growth opportunities, and patient needs, including space planning, resource allocation, and budgeting. Partner with physicians and advanced practice providers to align clinical and operational priorities, including workforce planning, recruitment, and performance standards. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), utilize dashboards, and drive standardization and accountability for operational results. Collaborate with finance and system teams on cost management, productivity, and margin optimization with accountability for financial performance. Support business development and growth initiatives, including service expansion and ambulatory strategy execution. Promote patient and provider satisfaction through service excellence and a strong culture of engagement. Lead, mentor, and develop clinic managers and teams to achieve high performance and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of progressive healthcare or clinic operations leadership experience (multi-site preferred). Proven ability to manage budgets, performance metrics, and operational priorities. Strong relationship skills with the ability to collaborate across clinical and operational teams. Competency in strategic planning, execution, and process improvement. Essential Skills Operational and financial acumen. Experience using performance metrics and dashboards for decision-making. Proven ability to standardize operations and drive accountability. Strong communication and influencing skills. Adaptability in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
