About Us:
Skybox Collectibles is a growing trading card business specializing in sports cards, Pokémon, TCGs, and other collectibles. With retail, e-commerce, breaking, and fulfillment operations, we serve a diverse and engaged customer base both locally and online.
Job Overview:
As Operations Manager, you'll own our systems, financial reporting, warehouse workflow, and management cadence. This is a hands-on leadership seat, working directly alongside the operations management team and ownership to keep the business sharp and growing. The ideal Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure smooth functioning across departments, and drive business growth. This candidate is a strategic thinker, an effective leader, and a proactive problem solver with experience in process improvement, project management, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, coach, and hold supervisors accountable across retail, warehouse/fulfillment, and breaking operations. Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, performance, and operating standards. Establish clear priorities, owners, deadlines, and follow-up across departments. Ensure work is completed accurately and on time while resolving issues at the appropriate level. Coordinate Retail, Warehouse, Breaking, Product, and E-Commerce teams to keep product flow, inventory allocation, and execution aligned. Lead retail performance through store supervisors, establishing consistent customer service, training, operating standards, and escalation practices across locations. Oversee product flow from receiving through shipping and establish measurable performance standards for productivity, turnaround time, accuracy, backlog, and shipping exceptions. Evaluate staffing and implement improvements to support growth. Lead Breaking Operations through preparedness, staffing, and execution efficiency, with accountability for readiness, on-time starts, staff performance, and appropriate escalation. Strengthen customer service practices and develop VIP/high-value customer relationships as team capability grows. Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce routine issues reaching senior leadership, improve accountability, and create scalable processes that support continued growth.
Job Qualifications:
Required 3-6+ years of operations or general management experience, preferably in multi-location retail, specialty commerce, fulfillment, or comparable environments Demonstrated success building and managing a supervisor layer, not just doing the work, but developing people who run execution Strong organizational and prioritization discipline: experience running task/accountability systems, managing deadlines, and removing blockers Effective communicator and direct manager: able to set clear expectations, give performance feedback, and hold people accountable with consistency Comfort with basic operational metrics: labor productivity, error rates, throughput, standards compliance Preferred Experience in trading cards, collectibles, e-commerce/retail, or similar consumer product businesses Experience with NetSuite, Shopify, or similar retail/ERP platforms Track record of building operating systems (SOPs, checklists, training materials, accountability cadences) from scratch or in rapid-growth environments

Pay:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
