full-time I'm working with an established and growing excavation and heavy civil contractor in the Stamford area that is looking to add an experienced Superintendent to its field leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Superintendent who knows how to run challenging sitework and earthwork projects from the ground up. What you'll be doing: Leading and managing day-to-day field operations Overseeing crews, subcontractors, equipment and project schedules Managing heavy earthwork, excavation and site development activities Coordinating with Project Managers, Engineers and clients Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity Reading plans, managing layout and keeping projects moving efficiently Taking ownership of projects from mobilization through to completion What we're looking for: Proven experience as a Superintendent within heavy civil, excavation or sitework construction Strong heavy earthwork experience is essential Demolition experience would be a strong advantage Experience using GPS and construction layout technology is highly desirable Strong knowledge of site logistics, equipment and field operations A hands-on leader who can manage crews and keep projects on schedule This is a great opportunity to join a growing contractor where you'll have real responsibility in the field and the chance to play a key role in delivering major excavation and sitework projects.
