as one of America's fasting growing private companies, and the recipient of DC's Best Property Management company. We are looking to double in size over the next 5 years, and seeking great talent to join our team. Position summary The Field Manager leads our field operations team and keeps every property running smoothly on the ground. You will direct daily field work, coordinate showings and inspections, manage keys and deposits, and serve as a key face of the company for clients, tenants, and housing agencies. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable splitting time between the office and properties across our portfolio. The Field Manager reports to the [Property Manager / Director of Operations]. Key responsibilitiesTeam leadership Oversee the performance of field team members, setting clear expectations and giving regular feedback. Recruit, onboard, and train new field team staff on company procedures, safety practices, and service standards. Scheduling and coordination Manage the daily schedule of field tasks and property showings, assigning work to keep the team efficient and on time. Coordinate onsite eviction activities, working with legal counsel, court officers, and vendors to ensure each eviction is handled lawfully and professionally. Inspections and compliance Complete and oversee all types of property inspections, including move-in, move-out, routine, and preventive maintenance inspections. Serve as the main point of contact for rental licensing and housing voucher inspections, scheduling inspectors and making sure units are ready to pass. Track inspection results and follow up on any deficiencies until they are resolved. Client relations Meet with new clients to walk properties, understand their goals, and explain how our field services work. Act as a professional, responsive representative of the company with owners, tenants, and agency staff. Keys, deposits, and recordkeeping Maintain the key tracking system and conduct regular key audits to keep every key accounted for. Make bank deposits of checks on a weekly basis and keep accurate deposit records. Keep inspection reports, schedules, and field records complete and up to date. QualificationsRequired 3+ years of experience in property management, real estate, or field operations. 1+ year of experience supervising or leading a team. Working knowledge of property inspections and common building, safety, and habitability standards. Strong organizational and scheduling skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a single day. Clear, professional communication with clients, tenants, inspectors, and staff. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance. Comfortable using property management software, email, and mobile apps. Preferred Experience with Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher (HQS or NSPIRE) inspections and local rental licensing programs. Familiarity with landlord-tenant law and the eviction process in DC, MD and VA. Real estate salesperson license or property management certification. Experience with Propertyware, ZInspector, Asana, Showmojo or similar software. Basic maintenance knowledge to identify repair needs during inspections. Working conditions Full-time; regular daytime hours with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends for showings, inspections, or urgent issues. Frequent daily travel between properties; mileage reimbursement Work in occupied and vacant units, including basements, attics, and exterior areas, in all weather. Compensation and benefits
Salary:
$60,000-$70,000 based on experience.
Commission:
Earn commission on each move-in, plus monthly bonus opportunities for meeting and exceeding move-in targets.
