Job Description

The Non-supervisory Tele-Psychiatric Provider role delivers psychiatric care to ICE detainees via real-time audio/video telemedicine, serving multiple facilities. IHSC's multidisciplinary team provides on-site and off-site medical care for 34,000 daily detainees at 24 ICE and 240 IGSA sites, supporting health needs during enforcement operations nationwide. This position is only open to current USPHS officers. USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates are not eligible for this position.
Qualifications:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time [6-8 hours]. Average manual dexterity for computer operations. Phone and computer use for extended periods of time. Must perform job duties in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations.
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT U.S.
Public Health Service Commissioned Corps officers are detailed to Department of Homeland Security as described in a Memorandum of Agreement.
