The Area Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for building capable, engaged production teams that consistently deliver safe, efficient, and reliable performance aligned with area and site goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead with Purpose & Values + Role models Qnity Values and fosters a positive, inclusive, and accountable and safety-first team culture. + Clearly communicates performance expectations, goals, and metrics to ensure alignment with customer requirements, production targets and safety standards. Develop & Empower Talent + Hires, retains, and develops team members to meet current and future capability needs while reinforcing safe work practices. + Coaches and provides regular performance feedback to strengthen skills, clarify expectations, and drive overall team effectiveness. + Uses recognition programs to reinforce desired behaviors and results. Drive Operational Excellence + Engages the team in identifying continuous improvement opportunities, eliminating waste, reducing safety risks and removing barriers to performance. + Applies lean and digital tools effectively to improve processes and outcomes. + Serves as the primary sponsor of Operational Discipline within the area. Execute with Business & Technical Acumen + Maintains strong knowledge of site, unit, and area products and customer requirements. + Uses business insights and cost-modeling tools to evaluate needs and make data-based decisions. + Applies basic engineering principles to solve both simple and complex technical problems, balancing speed, risk, and business impact. Ensure Accountability & Performance + Organizes and deploys resources effectively to meet goals and maintain safe, efficient operations. + Completes administrative and compliance tasks accurately and on time. + Uses management systems to monitor performance and ensure commitments are met. + Energizes the organization by helping employees understand the broader purpose and impact of their work.
Qualifications:
