Courier, Express Delivery and Logistics Job Overview We are conducting a search for a seasoned Senior Operations Manager to oversee two stations in South Florida. This leader will be responsible for courier operations supporting time-sensitive residential and commercial pickups and deliveries. The successful candidate will have strong experience managing high-volume courier or express delivery operations where package volumes, staffing requirements and route demands fluctuate daily. Previous leadership experience with DHL, FedEx, UPS, Amazon Logistics or a comparable courier and express delivery organization is strongly preferred. This is a hands-on, high-accountability position requiring a leader who can manage multiple locations, develop station leadership and consistently deliver strong service, safety and financial results. Key Responsibilities Provide operational leadership and oversight for two locations Manage courier operations supporting residential and commercial pickups and deliveries. Lead, coach and hold managers, supervisors and frontline teams accountable. Adjust staffing, routes and resources based on daily and seasonal package-volume fluctuations. Ensure pickups, deliveries, service commitments and customer requirements are consistently met. Monitor service performance, route efficiency, productivity, overtime, labor costs and staffing levels. Develop and execute corrective action plans when operational targets are missed. Maintain a strong and professional working relationship with customer station leadership. Oversee workforce planning, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, training and performance management. Manage employee and labor-relations matters, including operations within a unionized environment. Ensure compliance with customer procedures, company policies, DOT requirements and workplace-safety standards. Conduct regular station visits, operational audits and leadership meetings. Identify service gaps, recurring failures and inefficient processes, then implement sustainable solutions. Provide timely reporting and escalate significant operational risks to executive leadership. Support budgeting, cost control and profitability across both stations. Remain available to respond to urgent operational issues outside traditional business hours when necessary. Leadership Profile We are looking for a leader who: Understands the urgency and discipline required in courier and express operations. Can anticipate changing volumes and adjust the operation before service is affected. Leads from the front and maintains a visible presence within both stations. Establishes clear expectations and consistently follows through. Addresses problems directly, professionally and promptly. Builds capable leadership teams and holds people accountable for results. Communicates proactively with customers, employees and executive leadership. Balances service, safety, staffing and profitability without losing control of the operation. $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
