This is a hands-on position built around three primary responsibilities: Fill the Calendar. Run the Crews. Deliver the Moves. You will own our moving sales and booking process, follow up with prospective customers, maintain the moving calendar, work with our senior field leadership to schedule crews, coordinate the daily moving operation, communicate with customers and crews, and make sure booked moves are properly prepared and followed through to completion. This is not a receptionist position . We are looking for someone who is sales-minded, highly organized, comfortable coordinating people, capable of solving problems, and motivated by having real ownership of an operation. You will have experienced field leadership, accounting support, and company ownership working alongside you. Your responsibility is to keep the moving operation organized, productive, and moving forward. 1. Fill the Calendar — Sales & Booking You will have primary responsibility for converting Manasota Movers' incoming opportunities into booked moving jobs.
Responsibilities include:
Answer incoming moving calls promptly and professionally. Respond to website leads, emails, and other moving inquiries. Immediately return missed calls. Qualify prospective customers and understand their moving needs. Explain our services and pricing. Prepare estimates within established company guidelines. Ask for the business and close qualified opportunities. Enter and maintain accurate customer and move information in Salesforce. Collect all information required to properly book a move. Verify move details with customers before submitting bookings for final processing. Maintain an organized pipeline of open opportunities. Consistently follow up with customers who received information or pricing but did not initially book. Work previous and open leads that may still be converted into moving jobs. Continue appropriate follow-up until each viable opportunity is booked, lost, or otherwise resolved. We invest significant resources in generating moving opportunities. No viable lead should be forgotten simply because the customer did not book on the first call. A major measure of success in this position is your ability to help keep our moving calendar full. 2. Run the Crews — Scheduling & Daily Operations Crew scheduling is a major responsibility of this position. You will work closely with our experienced senior field leadership to build effective schedules and coordinate the daily work of our moving crews.
Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain weekly and daily moving schedules. Work with senior field leadership to determine appropriate crew sizes and crew combinations. Assign crew leaders and movers to scheduled jobs. Communicate schedules and assignments to employees. Track mover availability for scheduling purposes. Handle routine call-outs and coordinate available coverage. Adjust schedules when customers, jobs, staffing, or timing changes. Coordinate rental trucks when necessary. Make sure crews receive accurate job information before leaving for a move. Our senior field leadership provides field expertise and works with you on crew composition, complicated moves, manpower requirements, walkthrough information, field problems, and other operational decisions. Formal employee matters such as discipline, repeated attendance or performance problems, compensation, hiring, and termination are handled by company ownership. 3. Deliver the Moves — Customer & Operational Ownership Once a move is booked, your responsibility does not end. You will help make sure the move is properly prepared, supported, and followed through to completion.
Responsibilities include:
Review upcoming moves for operational readiness. Prepare crew paperwork and job notes. Make sure customer requirements and special instructions are documented. Coordinate necessary trucks and operational resources. Communicate routine scheduling changes with customers. Serve as the primary office point of contact during active moving jobs. Our senior field leadership handles necessary onsite walkthroughs, field inspections, and onsite damage visits. You remain responsible for coordinating the overall customer and operational process from the office. Booking Accuracy & Accounting Handoff You own the accuracy of the moving bookings you create. Before a booking is submitted for processing, you are responsible for making sure the customer information, move details, pricing, dates, addresses, and required payment information are complete and accurate. Completed bookings are then submitted to our accounting/back-office team for financial verification and processing. If a booking is incomplete or incorrect, it will be returned to you. You are responsible for correcting the issue, contacting the customer when necessary, and resubmitting an accurate booking.
