Role Summary Position Summary:
Transitioning from the standard Field Manager role, the Field Operations Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of the DYSC academy and developmental playing environment. This role ensures that all field logistics, systematic equipment management, and facility oversight are executed to the highest standards, providing technical staff and players with the elite tools needed for development. The manager is a critical operational leader who ensures that game day, training sessions, and special events run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Field Logistics & Safety:
Inspection & Readiness:
Conduct regular, documented field inspections to assess surface quality, irrigation needs, and overall safety.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all field setups, including goal anchoring and turf conditions, comply with safety regulations and DYSC field policies.
On-Call Support:
Provide immediate support for field-related emergencies or rapid weather adjustments.
Systematic Equipment & Inventory Management:
Inventory Tracking:
Maintain a digital or systematic log of all club assets to ensure technical staff has ready access to necessary training tools.
Maintenance & Repair:
Monitor and report faulty goals or damaged nets; perform or coordinate basic repairs to extend the life of club assets.
Vehicle Upkeep:
Manage the maintenance of the club's golf carts, including fueling, battery care, and basic mechanical upkeep. Operational Execution (Goal Movement & Equipement):

Academy Practices & Games Night :
Monday - Friday (4:30-8:30).
- Wednesdays 4 pm - 8:30 pm.
Scheduling:
Develop and maintain a weekly Goal Movement Schedule to ensure fields are transitioned between training and game formats without delay.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience in sports turf management, groundskeeping, or facility operations is preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with soccer field dimensions, layouts, and international goal safety standards.
Physical Capability:
Ability to safely lift and move heavy equipment and goals (requires physical stamina and heavy lifting).
Organizational Skills:
Highly reliable and self-directed with the ability to manage complex schedules and inventory logs.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with the Operations Manager, Director of Soccer, and external facility partners. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Field Readiness Score:
Biannual rating of field readiness (Fall & Spring).
Logistics Accuracy:
100% compliance with the Goal Movement and Equipment Schedule for practices and games.
Inventory Integrity:
Accurate biannual audit of all field equipment and supplies.
Asset Longevity:
Documented regular maintenance of goals and the club golf cart to minimize replacement costs.
