Job Description

Osceola Community Health Services (OCHS) is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center. OCHS operates six Community Health Centers throughout Osceola County that are accredited by The Joint Commission for Ambulatory Care and Primary Care Medical Home. We offer great benefits including low-cost health insurance; life and disability insurance; paid holidays and leave time. This is an experienced supervisor position working in the Dental department. Provides direct supervision of the non-provider dental staff. Manages staffing levels, processes leave requests and approves timesheets. Monitors work performance of direct reports, creates performance expectations and completes performance evaluations. Coordinates, implements, trains and orients employees regarding statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ensures efficient operation of the dental clinics, dental call center and mobile dental van. Directly manages clinic scheduling, patient flow, clinic inventory and billing submissions. Responsible for managing clinic resources to include staff roles/ functions assignments, supplies and equipment. Perform clinic duties as needed to ensure proper coverage and continuation of services. Assists COO in clinical operations primarily for PN, IC, and Mobile Unit. Works with Chief Dental Officer in planning, implementing, and controlling of clinical policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Ability to travel to all clinics as needed.
  • Primary contact for emergency patient calls and scheduling.
  • Assures QI and compliance of clinical operations and dental assistants.
  • Provides clinical coverage as needed.
Completes required dental reports. Provides dental program updates as requested to management. Complies with the OCHS' Risk Management and Corporate Compliance programs. Participates in organizational meetings including but not limited to QI, Compliance, Productivity, Dental Operations, and Infection Control meetings. OCHS is an equal opportunity employer.
