The role will manage day to day operations on shift, make operating decisions, and training younger individuals making an impact on the company and local communities. Lead and supervise Operations Technicians during a 12-hour rotating shift, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of the combined cycle power plant. Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and employee development, including identifying and coordinating required training programs. Coordinate daily plant activities with Operations, Maintenance, contractors, management, and dispatch to meet generation schedules, load requirements, and operational priorities. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, OSHA, NERC, and company requirements, including oversight of the LOTO program and environmental reporting obligations. Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations related to equipment failures, operational events, safety incidents, environmental events, and LOTO violations, driving both immediate corrective actions and long-term solutions. Develop, implement, and maintain operating procedures, guidelines, work schedules, and operational reports to support continuous improvement and plant reliability. Serve as a key leader during outages, projects, and plant emergencies, including acting as an outage coordinator, project lead, fire brigade supervisor, or Incident Commander when required. Maintain strong operational awareness and technical expertise, including performing technician-level activities as needed and developing Subject Matter Expert knowledge in major plant systems and processes. #ENG1
