Job Description
Tender Care Medical Services is a Pediatric Prescribed Extended Care (PPEC) provider committed to delivering skilled nursing and therapy services to medically fragile children in a safe, supportive environment. We are looking for an Operations-Driven Administrator to take ownership of our Palatka center. Someone confident, organized, and capable of running a facility like a successful business while ensuring high-quality patient care. Position Overview The Operations Administrator is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Palatka PPEC center. This role focuses heavily on people management, process improvement, compliance, staffing, scheduling, parent communication, and center profitability. No prior PPEC or healthcare administration experience required — strong operations / general management experience is preferred. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee daily operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance Maintain facility upkeep, inspections, repairs, and vendor coordination Ensure proper staffing ratios every day Maintain an accurate patient census and coordinate with the Transport Department Ensure all patients receive uninterrupted services People Management Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain non-medical staff Support the Director of Nursing with medical staff recruitment Manage employee relations, performance issues, and corrective actions Track certifications, licensure, training, and annual in-services HR & Administrative Duties Maintain employee files and confidential documentation Process payroll items including timecards, PTO, leave, and forms Report Workers Comp & FMLA cases in a timely manner Educate employees on benefits enrollment and eligibility Manage expense receipts and submit reports to accounting Compliance & Safety Uphold HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and internal policies Ensure adherence to company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook Maintain strict confidentiality and professional standards Front Office & Family Experience Answer phones, emails, faxes, and greet visitors Provide excellent customer service to parents, children, staff, and healthcare partners Promote a positive, supportive environment within the center Qualifications Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of administrative or operations leadership experience High School Diploma or GED Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead a team Ability to pass Level 2 AHCA Background Screening - https://info.flclearinghouse.com Professional, ethical, and motivated leader Preferred Experience in retail management, operations, hospitality, call centers, or multi-site management Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Physical Requirements Sitting at a desk for extended periods Walking, bending, pushing wheelchairs, lifting 40+ lbs with assistance Riding in company vehicles for up to 4 hours What We Offer Competitive Pay Monday-Friday daytime schedule (no nights or weekends) Benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO A leadership role with full ownership over center operations Opportunity for career growth within the company Why You'll Love This Role This is an opportunity for an operations-minded leader to run a location like their own business.
