SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Supervises Operations Technicians and Correctional Officers
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
including the following: 1. Train, supervise, and schedule all operations staff. 2. Assists in preparing the facility to meet all audit standards internally and externally. Monitors compliance with corrective action plans implemented to resolve findings and develop processes to prevent repeat deficiencies. 3. Provides input to the Facility Director and Assistant Facility Director regarding staff job performance, to assist them in the completion of annual performance evaluations. 4. Ensures that all inmates terminated, transferred, or released during their shift are closed out in SecurManage, accurately reflecting the date of loss. 5. Supervise inmate population, including meals, work periods, visitation, and furloughs. 6. Conduct intake on inmates when necessary. 7. Evaluate all operations staff after probationary period, and then annually thereafter. 8. Organize and facilitate staff meetings with operations staff at least monthly. 9. Implement security and operation policies and procedures as mandated by The Company. 10. Ensure safety and welfare of inmates, staff and visitors. 11. Oversee the operation and security of the facility. 12. Ensure all counts are conducted according to written policy. 13. Facilitate safety and emergency drills and ensure procedures are followed during emergency conditions as set by policy and procedures. 14. Conduct written facilities inspections required by The Company standards. 15. Participate in monthly department head meetings with the Facility Director and weekly clinical staff meetings. 16. Supervise The Company required operations department documentation and operations data entry on
WRIMS. 17.
Clock in and out utilizing the company time and attendance system. 18. Able to perform the major functions of job with or without an accommodation. 19. Required to attend all mandatory training specified by policy. 20Report all Workers Compensation injuries, whether or not they require medical attention, to the Facility Director and designated Human Resource Personnel. 22. Report all breaches of company policy or code of ethics that you have knowledge of, hear about or see regardless of who is involved in the breach to your immediate supervisor or the Facility Director and the HR Department if necessary. 23. Report all unsafe conditions that could affect clients/inmates or employees which you become aware of to your immediate supervisor or the Facility Director immediately. 24. To be eligible for promotion you must demonstrate organizational abilities and must have good written and oral communication skills. 25. Ensure that all applicable policies and procedures that fall within the scope of this job description are followed and adhered to. 26. Attends Department Head meetings as directed. 27. Inspect facility and grounds daily and document on appropriate form. 28. Ensures that all staff read and acknowledge post orders initially upon assuming a new post and annually thereafter. 29. Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
