Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Fleet Operations Manager to lead and optimize transportation and distribution activities in Sanford, FL. Duties Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, including vehicle maintenance, routing, and compliance with safety regulations to ensure reliable transportation services. Manage transportation planning and freight management, coordinating with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners to optimize shipping routes and costs. Lead warehouse supervision activities, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Drive process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce waste. Develop and manage budgets related to fleet operations, procurement, and logistics activities while monitoring profit & loss statements for financial health. Implement and utilize transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and supply chain analytics tools to enhance operational visibility. Supervise team members across distribution operations, providing leadership, coaching, and managerial communication to foster a high-performance culture. Coordinate demand planning, production planning, procurement, and inventory management strategies to meet customer expectations while controlling costs. Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies across all logistics functions. Skills Proven experience in warehouse supervisor roles with strong supervising skills in distribution operations. Extensive knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and supply chain management tools. Expertise in profit & loss analysis, budgeting, process management, and process improvement techniques such as Lean or Six Sigma. Strong understanding of freight logistics including 3PL partnerships, NVOCC operations, freight forwarding, shipping & receiving procedures. Skilled in transportation planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and materials management. Excellent team management abilities with effective communication skills tailored for managerial roles. Familiarity with supply chain analytics for data-driven decision-making; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential. Experience supervising warehouse operations including inventory control, distribution management, procurement processes, and warehouse distribution strategies.
