This role requires direct involvement in the details, from learning an employee's daily workflow to testing software, training teams, and getting stalled projects moving, What You'll Own Understand the operation . Spend time with employees and managers, learn our systems, and follow work across departments. Identify bottlenecks, duplicate work, unnecessary steps, and communication gaps. Use data to find root causes. Review productivity, staffing, workload, costs, errors, and turnaround times. Investigate what drives the numbers and recommend changes to workflows, staffing or resource allocation. Challenge existing approaches. Ask thoughtful questions, test assumptions, and respectfully challenge leadership when warranted. Support recommendations with evidence, sound reasoning and a practical plan. Deliver improvements from start to finish. Define the problem, develop the solution, set priorities and timelines, coordinate execution, train employees, and measure results. Adjust what isn't working and follow through until the change is effective. Make technology work better. Learn our business software, uncover underused capabilities, reduce manual work, and help implement tools and automation. Work with vendors, developers, and IT to translate operational needs into practical solutions. Lead people through change. Set clear expectations, address performance issues directly, and coach with patience and respect. Identify training needs, role mismatches, and staffing adjustments while maintaining accountability and consistent standards. What You Bring Your background may be in operations process improvement, project management, business systems, technology, or a related field.
You should bring:
Significant experience managing or improving complex business operations, with examples of changes you personally implemented. Strong analytical skills and confidence working with reports, KPIs, and operational data. Experience developing workflows and managing projects through implementation, adoption, and evaluation. Comfort learning business software and implementing systems or digital workflows. Software engineering experience is not required. Experience managing, coaching and training employees. Clear communication, strong organization, and reliable follow-through. The independence to identify priorities, make thoughtful decisions with incomplete information, and move work forward without constant direction.
