Executive Director of Education and Foundation Operations RDK Melanoma Foundation RDK Melanoma Foundation is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven Executive Director to lead sun-safety and melanoma-prevention education programs while overseeing operations, finances, partnerships, and donor support. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who can create educational materials, present to community groups, build donor and partner relationships, track income and expenses, and ensure programs and events run smoothly. Key Responsibilities Education & Programs Develop age-appropriate sun-safety and melanoma-prevention curriculum, presentations, workshops, toolkits, and digital resources. Deliver programs for students, parents, educators, coaches, athletes, outdoor workers, and community groups. Maintain and expand programs for schools, youth sports, camps, recreation, and community partners. Work with medical advisors and experts to ensure educational content is accurate and current. Community Outreach Build and manage relationships with schools, universities, sports leagues, camps, healthcare organizations, and community partners. Lead presentations, workshops, and training sessions. Support sunscreen-dispenser placements and educational campaigns. Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers and contracted educators. Represent RDK at community events, health fairs, sporting events, and partner meetings. Program Management & Reporting Manage program goals, timelines, budgets, logistics, materials, and follow-up. Track participation, feedback, outcomes, and program impact. Prepare regular reports for leadership and the Board. Develop repeatable systems and workflows to support program growth in new communities. Operations & Financial Administration Oversee calendars, meetings, vendors, contracts, records, events, and administrative systems. Prepare Board and committee agendas, materials, minutes, and follow-up items. Track donations, sponsorships, grants, invoices, expenses, and vendor payments. Work with the bookkeeper, accountant, and treasurer to support reporting, reconciliations, and year-end documentation. Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and efficiency. Donor Relations & Development Support Maintain donor and sponsor records, acknowledgments, pledges, and stewardship schedules. Prepare donor communications, proposals, presentations, and follow-up materials. Support grant tracking, sponsorship fulfillment, donor events, and relationship-building efforts. Ensure donors, sponsors, and partners receive timely, professional communication and recognition. Qualifications Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. Demonstrates a polished, professional presence and interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for a community-facing environment. Five or more years of experience in nonprofit operations, education, public health, community programming, youth development, or a related field. Presentation, communication, project-management, and relationship-building skills. Experience creating polished training materials and making complex information easy to understand. Working knowledge of nonprofit budgeting, income and expense tracking, and donor recordkeeping. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience with Canva, Google Workspace, CRM systems, accounting software, or learning platforms is a plus. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and attend occasional evening or weekend events.
