General Manager - Commercial Laundry Operations Shore to Shore Laundry Services Brunswick, Georgia | Full-Time | On-Site About the Opportunity Shore to Shore Laundry Services is launching a new, highly automated commercial laundry facility serving hospitality customers in Brunswick, Georgia, and the surrounding market. We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the facility from pre-opening and equipment commissioning through full-scale production and long-term growth. Reporting directly to ownership, the General Manager will have overall responsibility for building the operating organization and delivering strong results across safety, people, customer service, quality, production, maintenance, financial performance, and business growth. This is a senior leadership opportunity with significant autonomy and direct access to ownership. The successful candidate will be a proven commercial or hospitality laundry leader who combines sound business judgment and strong people leadership with hands-on operational and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities Lead the startup, commissioning, production ramp-up, and ongoing operation of the facility. Develop and execute a comprehensive operational-readiness plan, including staffing, training, safety, maintenance, quality, workflow, and customer-launch requirements. Recruit, develop, and lead the plant management, production, maintenance, and support teams. Establish a high-performance culture grounded in safety, accountability, quality, customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Own the facility's operational and financial performance, including revenue, labor, productivity, operating costs, quality, equipment uptime, and profitability. Develop annual operating plans, budgets, staffing models, performance metrics, and management reporting. Establish scalable operating procedures, controls, performance standards, and accountability systems. Oversee daily production planning and ensure the facility consistently meets customer volume, quality, service, and delivery commitments. Lead the facility's maintenance and reliability strategy and work closely with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and technical partners. Identify and implement opportunities to improve automation, workflow, efficiency, capacity utilization, safety, and cost performance. Support customer acquisition and revenue growth by developing strong relationships with prospective and existing hospitality accounts. Partner with ownership to establish growth priorities, pricing strategies, service capabilities, and customer-retention plans. Ensure compliance with applicable employment, safety, environmental, licensing, and operational requirements. Provide ownership with timely, accurate reporting regarding financial results, operational performance, staffing, customer activity, risks, and business priorities. Required Qualifications At least five years of progressive management experience in a high-volume hospitality, commercial, or industrial laundry operation. Strong working knowledge of commercial laundry equipment, workflow, production planning, quality controls, preventive maintenance, and plant operations. Demonstrated experience leading managers, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and hourly production teams. Experience managing budgets, labor costs, productivity, operating expenses, equipment performance, and overall plant results. Proven ability to establish operating systems, procedures, performance standards, and accountability measures. Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and contribute to profitable business growth. Strong leadership, communication, financial, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities. Hands-on operational and technical aptitude, including the ability to identify production or equipment issues and effectively direct maintenance resources. Ability to work an on-site, flexible schedule and respond to operational requirements outside standard business hours when necessary. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a General Manager, Plant Manager, Director of Operations, or senior operational leader within a hospitality or commercial laundry business. Experience launching a new facility, managing a major plant expansion, or commissioning new equipment. Experience with highly automated laundry-production and material-handling systems. Experience developing hospitality laundry accounts, supporting pricing decisions, and increasing plant utilization. Experience leading an operation with direct profit-and-loss accountability. Knowledge of applicable workplace-safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Relevant laundry-industry experience, leadership capability, and a demonstrated record of successfully operating and growing a facility are valued above any specific educational degree. Work Environment This position works primarily within an active commercial laundry and production environment. The role may involve exposure to heat, humidity, noise, cleaning chemicals, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of an industrial laundry operation. The General Manager must be able to move throughout the facility and comply with all applicable safety and personal protective equipment requirements. Compensation and Benefits Base salary:
