Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a progressive dairy operation in Georgia who is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations with a strong emphasis on employee management, reproduction, herd records, parlor operations, and mechanical maintenance. The Operations Manager will supervise and train employees, oversee daily work and breeding activities, and ensure established procedures for milking, sanitation, cow handling, and animal care are consistently followed. This individual will also be responsible for keeping DairyComp records current and ensuring breeding and other daily cow activities are accurately recorded. A major responsibility will be overseeing the milking parlor and keeping equipment operational. The successful candidate must have strong mechanical abilities and be capable of diagnosing parlor problems, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing routine maintenance and repairs. Outside service will be available when needed, but the ability to handle problems in-house and minimize downtime will be highly valued. This position will have considerable independence in managing the daily operation. Ownership will handle major purchasing, contracts, vendors, and nutrition, allowing the Operations Manager to focus on employees, cows, records, equipment, and making sure daily work is completed correctly and on time. The ideal candidate will be a dependable, hands-on leader who takes ownership of the operation, communicates well, solves problems, and is comfortable working independently.

- Previous dairy management, assistant management, or supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of dairy operations, reproduction, milking procedures, milk quality, and parlor operations
- Proficient with DairyComp and maintaining accurate herd and breeding records
- Strong mechanical background with the ability to troubleshoot and repair parlor equipment
- Experience supervising, training, scheduling, and holding employees accountable
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Strong understanding of cow handling, sanitation, and animal welfare
- Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and capable of managing daily operations with limited supervision
