About the Position This is a hands-on leadership position combining professional mobile auto detailing, customer service and day-to-day operations management. You will personally complete interior and exterior details while serving as the main on-island representative of Cheers Mobile Auto Detailing. This is not a traditional desk-management position. The right person will be willing to work hard, solve day-to-day problems independently, take ownership of each job and be responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience. The position may begin part-time or full-time, with approximately 20-40 hours per week depending on availability, and appointment volume. For the right person, there may be opportunities to grow into a larger leadership role with increased responsibility, performance-based compensation and potential long-term involvement in the business with equity/ownership if desired. Responsibilities Complete high-quality interior and exterior vehicle details and ensure satisfaction. Follow Cheers Mobile Auto Detailing processes and quality standards Communicate professionally with customers before, during and after appointments with quoting and booking leads. Manage daily schedules and appointments Monitor and maintain equipment, chemicals, supplies and inventory. Notify owner when repairs/ replacements are needed Keep the company vehicle maintained, stocked and ready for appointments Collect customer payments when required Handle customer questions and concerns calmly and professionally Maintain accurate records of completed jobs, payments, add-ons and tips Help train and oversee additional detailing technicians if needed Communicate regularly with the remote owner regarding customers, jobs and operational needs What We Are Looking For Extremely reliable, punctual and trustworthy Positive, cheerful and professional attitude Strong attention to detail and a refusal to cut corners Professional appearance and communication Able to work independently without constant supervision Comfortable taking responsibility and making reasonable decisions Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills Able to remain calm when unexpected issues arise Comfortable working outdoors in Hawaiʻi's heat, humidity and occasional rain Able to bend, kneel, reach and remain physically active for extended periods with lifting heavy equipment Comfortable completing physically demanding details lasting four to six hours or longer Willing to work occasional extended days when a vehicle requires additional attention Available on weekdays and Saturdays Valid driver's license and safe driving history Professional detailing experience is preferred but not required. Experience in small-business operations, automotive services, hospitality, customer service or another hands-on service position may also be considered. Compensation Compensation is primarily based on completed services rather than a traditional hourly wage. A standard full detail pays a base amount per completed vehicle with approved add-ons and customer tips. Most full details require approximately four to five production hours, depending on the size and condition of the vehicle and at times can be more. This creates typical production earnings of approximately $30-$50+ per hour equivalent , depending on efficiency, services performed, with add-ons and tips lead to higher compensation.
