Business Manager Established Multi-Location Healthcare Practice - Des Moines Metro Area Position Overview A well-established, growing healthcare practice in the Des Moines metro area is seeking an experienced, highly organized Business Manager to oversee day-to-day business operations, staff performance, financial processes, and administrative systems. This is a leadership position for someone who takes ownership, solves problems, holds team members accountable, and continually looks for ways to improve efficiency, profitability, and the patient experience. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily business and administrative operations Lead, train, schedule, and hold office staff accountable Monitor employee performance, productivity, and workflow Oversee patient scheduling, front-desk operations, and customer service Monitor billing, accounts receivable, collections, and outstanding balances Work with billing staff to identify and resolve insurance and payment issues Track key business metrics, including patient volume, collections, accounts receivable, and staff productivity Develop and maintain efficient office policies, procedures, and systems Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee development Manage vendors, supplies, expenses, and general office needs Identify operational problems and implement solutions Provide regular reporting to ownership regarding practice performance Help develop and execute strategies for continued growth and profitability Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a confident and dependable leader who is comfortable managing both people and numbers . This individual should be proactive rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done.
