The Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations assists the Director of Athletics in the administration of sixteen intercollegiate athletic programs at the University of Idaho. The position is responsible for supervision and coordination of all external areas within the department including: Marketing, Ticket Operations, Athletic Communications, Creative Content, and Student-Athlete Support Services (academics). In addition, this position serves as a sport administrator for assigned sport programs.
Position Overview:
The Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations assists the Director of Athletics in the administration of sixteen intercollegiate athletic programs at the University of Idaho. The position is responsible for supervision and coordination of all external areas within the department including: Marketing, Ticket Operations, Athletic Communications, Creative Content, and Student-Athlete Support Services (academics). In addition, this position serves as a sport administrator for assigned sport programs.
Required Experience:
Seven years of progressive leadership experience in collegiate athletics, including external operations and/or academic support services Experience leading functions related to revenue generation, communications, marketing, ticketing, and/or student-athlete academic support Experience implementing leadership, management, and organizational skills
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree Required Other:
Ability to travel Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays
Additional Preferred:
Masters Degree Experience supervising athletics academic services Demonstrated success in strategic planning, revenue growth, and academic performance outcomes Demonstrated success in leadership of revenue generation, communications, marketing, ticketing, and/or student-athlete academic support Working knowledge of NCAA academic eligibility, APR, and governance structures Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities Ability to work effectively with stakeholders, including campus leadership, faculty, donors, corporate partners, media, and alumni
