Job Description

Governors State University is seeking to hire an ERP Operations Supervisor IV to provide leadership and oversight of all Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) operations. The position maintains the enterprise information systems that support the university's administrative functions. The position also includes leadership responsibilities in key technology projects related to ERP and third-party enterprise applications. 40%
  • ERP Operations Supervisor Supervises staff, provides coaching and guidance, and oversees work assignments.
Manages ERP access and permissions. Ensures timely processing of access requests, changes, and removals by following established procedures. Manages ERP software update processing, including compliance with change control, separation of duties, testing, and installation. Manages timesheets and performance evaluations, ensuring Human Resources guidelines are followed. Provides technical and functional leadership on installing, configuring, maintaining, and developing all ERP functions and modules. Represents ITS in ERP-related initiatives, committees, and efforts. Coordinates training and documentation efforts for all ERP-related operations. Oversees module support assignments to other analysts. Provides mentoring and training to analysts as needed. Provides leadership to major projects, directs staff, and assigns work to meet goals. Supervises staff assignments and provides necessary support. Ensure effective communications with all stakeholders, clients, and staff, including holding regular meetings and creating presentations related to assigned work. Monitors and manages ticket assignments and workloads. 20%
  • Technical Project Lead Project planning, management, and implementation, including defining scope, budget, and testing plans.
Works with stakeholders and sponsors to implement key projects or to act as the lead technical project manager. Defines and prioritizes tasks needed to complete projects. Technical and functional project management responsibilities, including creating documentation, designing, managing testing processes for changes, and directing the projects according to the established plan. 20%
  • ERP Analyst Responsible for supporting Admissions, Students, Financial Aid, and Accounts Receivable ERP system modules utilizing the Ellucian Colleague application suite.
Utilizes Envision/UniBasic programming language and other technologies required to modify, customize, correct, or adjust Colleague processes to meet institutional needs. Develop interfaces, customizations, and integrations with third-party applications to send/receive data and for automation. Utilizes reporting tools to create ad-hoc reports from the Ellucian Colleague data. Install software updates to the ERP system 15%
  • Systems Administrator Provides technical administration and management of third-party software, including the emergency alert system, the continuing education CRM, the Admissions and Advancement CRMs, the e-commerce provider for credit and ACH transactions, and the financial reporting system.
Consistently working with third-party vendors regarding upgrades and maintenance to systems. Works with staff to determine resources needed to accomplish tasks and resolve any issues. Ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of Test and Production environments. Mentoring, training, and supporting ITS team members on third-party software.
Salary Range:
$98,436.00

Minimum Requirements:
(1) Bachelor's degree with coursework that includes information technology (IT), IT management, programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline. AND Nine (9) years of work experience in IT-related functions, such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or a closely related field (2) Over ten (10) years of experience managing and supporting ERP technology systems. (3) One (1) to three (3) years of experience managing technology projects or supervising staff. OR (1) High school diploma or equivalent. (2) Any one or any combination totaling twelve (12) years from the following categories: A. College coursework that includes information technology (IT), IT management, programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year Associate's degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen (18) months 90 semester hours equals two (2) years Bachelor's degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) year B. Work experience in IT-related functions, such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field. (3) Over ten (10) years of experience managing and supporting ERP technology systems. (4) One (1) to three (3) years of experience managing technology projects or supervising staff.
Desired Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in information technology or related technology field.
  • At least five (5) years supporting ERP systems in a higher education environment.
  • At least five (5) years of experience with Microsoft SQL databases, SOL queries, and data structures.
