Job Summary:
The Director of Operations oversees all Power Quality Systems (PQS) operations, including production, supply chain, planning, logistics, and procurement, to drive excellence, cost efficiency, timely delivery, quality, scalable processes, growth, margin expansion, and customer satisfaction. The Director of Operations also oversees PQS's manufacturing operations in Waukegan, Illinois and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. This position reports directly to the DVP, Business Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead high-performing teams and promote talent through accountability, coaching, and succession planning. Oversee all manufacturing and supply chain functions: production, purchasing, planning, materials, quality, EHS, warehousing, and engineering. Coordinate with contract manufacturers for efficient production and manage supplier relationships. Collaborate with Finance and Engineering to align operations with customer needs, cost goals, and growth plans. Streamline customer repair and recalibration processes. Drive continuous improvement for on-time delivery and optimal production. Manage metrics for quality, delivery, safety, cost, and throughput; maintain dashboards for tracking. Support inventory optimization and material flow to meet working capital objectives. Lead corrective actions and process improvements. Oversee manufacturing employee training for performance, development, and safety. Serve as operations contact for resolving customer delivery and supply issues. Trave up to 10%. Perform other related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing environment, preferably Power Electronics, UPS, Electrical, or Industrial Equipment. Prior experience with
ISO 9001
conformance with an ISO certified manufacturer. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, SIOP, and Supply Chain best practices. Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction, operational scalability, and performance.

Extensive background in electronics manufacturing. Comprehensive expertise in production planning, scheduling, material management, and optimizing supply chains. Practical leadership approach with a visible presence on the floor and the capacity to influence individuals at all levels. Exceptional collaboration, communication, and cross-team leadership abilities. Experienced with ERP systems and highly skilled in using data to inform decisions.
