Job Description
Avalign produces innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective medical devices with a particular focus on high growth and ingenuity. Our team is growing quickly and proud of the fact that our custom-made devices continue to make a huge difference in the lives of medical professionals and their patients. Our employees are actively involved in the design, engineering and manufacture of technologically advanced medical devices that ensure that we meet our customer's quality specifications for each product we produce. The Operations Manager directs, plans, organizes, and controls the activities of all manufacturing operations, including machine programming and safety, as assigned. There are two Operations Managers in the facility. Areas of responsibility may change based on current business needs. The Operations Manager assures his areas of responsibility support the Company's overall growth and profitability objectives.
What You'll Do:
Reviews production orders or schedules to plan department operations. Develops and implements capacity plans to support expected sales volumes. Manages direct labor to insure achievement of company labor cost goals. Manage production processes to insure achievement of cost and quality goals. Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products to meet scheduled dates. Ensures manufacturing operations yields products in accordance with established procedures that also meet quality specifications. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Develops or revises standard operational and working procedures and ensures compliance. Resolve worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to senior management for action. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data. Oversees safety programs as assigned and ensures employees receive on-site training as needed or required. Follows approved procedures regarding on-the-job injuries to include completing appropriate paperwork, seeking proper medical attention, completing follow-up responsibilities and assisting employees upon their return to work. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all manufacturing operations. Operations Manager is also responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.What You'll Need:
Four-year degree from accredited college/ university in Management Eight to ten years medical device manufacturing experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceWhat You Won't Do:
