Reports to: Senior/Executive Director/Officer Positional oversight of:
Team Members, Team Trainers, Shift Leaders, Coordinators, Team Leaders, and Assistant Directors Essential Functions:
The Director of Operations with a focus on Front of the House Operations is a key leadership position responsible for the complete oversight, optimization, and performance of all front of house operations. This role is foundational to achieving the vision of \Being The Most REMARKable Restaurant In Olathe\ by ensuring excellence in hospitality, guest experience, speed of service, operational execution, and team performance within the Front of House (FOH). This Director acts as an operations-first leader, championing the Core Values of the organization: Care For Our Guests, Care For Our Team, and Care For Our Business. All leadership positions are Operations based first. Care For Our Guests by Delivering Radical Hospitality - This position champions a guest-first mindset. Responsible for the performance of the Front of House operations, including Customer Experience Monitor (CEM), Measures, Hospitality and Guest Experience, CARES, speed of service, food safety, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction. Builds relationships with our team and community. Owns assigned FOH operational systems, including OneClick setups and training notes, and ensures expectations are consistently executed. Responsible for reporting performance and setting goals that will be shared in the weekly Director meeting. Enthusiastically leads or supports shifts in delivering world class hospitality, all day, every day. Ability to adapt to how all people learn. Care For Our Team by Acting As One - This position champions a One-Team mindset. Attends, leads and participates in Leadership meetings and activities, ensures daily Training is being done and provides any required support, reporting and communication. Leads a Workgroup and Team Member Team. Ensures all training is being completed and uses training reports to identify opportunities for Team Member growth. Develops, coaches, and supports Leaders while holding them accountable to operational and leadership expectations. Collaboration for all systems and processes with the training team. Engages positively in partnership with all other departments (training, marketing, catering, facilities, back of the house, HR, etc.). Energetic and self-motivated, willing to actively engage the Team Members and contribute to a high-performance Leadership Team. Ability to work open, mid and closing shifts with the hours needed to meet the needs of the business. Saturday is a required workday. (
Ex:
as early as 5 am or as late as midnight) Proficiency Google docs, calendars, etc. Experience in Asana is preferred. Care For Our Business by Pursuing Excellence Ownership of completion of various FOH checklists (Set-up, cleaning, rush-ready, etc.). Ensures the shift is using required operational systems to ensure success in guest experience, speed of service, food safety, and operational excellence. Able to efficiently manage time, multi-tasking, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. Owns, follows, models and ensures team compliance with all Pathway content. Owns communication on expectations and goals related to operational standards and brand expectations, and shares and enforces CFA Olathe policies and procedures. Responsible for labor control and scheduling while balancing business needs, guest experience, and team performance. Driven to excel in an ultra face-paced environment while prioritizing and making sound business decisions under pressure and in changing situations. Possesses a Growth mindset while being solutions-oriented, possesses a learning mentality, and is teachable. Help recruit, select and develop all shift leaders and team leaders. Participates in weekly open interviews on a rotating schedule. Ensure FOH cleanliness and operational readiness standards are consistently maintained. Train, execute and follow-up on AHA system performance and metrics. Lead and support operational excellence through the elimination of product and labor waste. Qualifications Minimum of one year experience in the hospitality industry. Prior leadership experience of at least one year required, preferably a senior leadership role. Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Ability to work a variable full-time schedule (minimum of 38 hours per week with varied shifts - days/opens, mids, evenings/closes) with the ability to stand and be mobile for long periods of time. Energetic and self-motivated with the ability to stay focused in a busy, fast-paced environment. Desire to engage and contribute with a high-performance leadership team. Duties, assignments, and schedules are subject to change to meet the needs of the business.
