Job Summary McAnany Construction is looking for an experienced Civil Field Superintendent to support our growing field operations. This is a field-based position for someone with a strong background in grading, excavation, and site development who understands how civil construction work is planned and performed. The Civil Field Superintendent will work closely with our superintendents, project managers, foremen, equipment team, and field crews to help coordinate daily operations across multiple projects. The right person will understand the work, anticipate what crews need, identify potential problems early, and help keep projects moving efficiently. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, making decisions in the field, and taking ownership of their responsibilities. Responsibilities Visit active and upcoming projects throughout the Kansas City area. Assist with coordination of daily field operations. Work directly with foremen, project managers, superintendents, and field leadership. Review plans, project scope, site conditions, and upcoming work. Help ensure projects are ready for crews before work begins. Assist with planning manpower, equipment, trucking, and other project needs. Coordinate equipment moves and trucking needs between projects. Monitor project progress and field conditions. Identify scheduling, manpower, equipment, or operational conflicts before they impact production. Help resolve day-to-day field issues. Assist with short-term scheduling and operational planning. Follow up on open items and make sure they are completed. Help field crews execute work safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. Provide additional support to the superintendent and operations team as needed. Qualifications Strong background in grading, excavation, or site development work . Previous experience leading construction crews or coordinating field operations . Strong understanding of earthwork operations and the equipment used to perform the work . Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to read and understand civil construction plans . Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Ability to plan work and recognize manpower and equipment needs . Comfortable working independently and making decisions. Willingness to spend significant time visiting projects in the field. Basic computer and technology skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
