Job Description

A well-established and growing fire protection contractor is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join its leadership team in Cincinnati, OH. This is a key, hands-on leadership position for someone who understands the fire protection industry and can help oversee daily operations, support field teams, improve processes, and contribute to continued company growth. The position offers flexibility based on the candidate's strengths and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fire protection professional ready to take on greater operational and leadership responsibility. Responsibilities Help oversee day-to-day fire protection operations and field activities. Support, manage, and develop field technicians and operational personnel. Assist with rebuilding and strengthening the fire extinguisher division. Coordinate manpower, scheduling, customer needs, and project priorities. Help identify and resolve operational challenges. Support estimating, sales, and business development efforts when needed. Maintain strong communication between field personnel, customers, and company leadership. Assist with commercial and residential fire protection projects. Help improve operational efficiency, accountability, and overall team performance. Take an active role in the continued growth and development of the organization. Qualifications NICET Level II or higher required. 5-10+ years of fire protection industry experience. Previous leadership, supervisory, field management, or operations experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of fire protection field operations. Sales, estimating, or customer-facing experience is a plus. Ability to lead teams and handle multiple operational priorities. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Hands-on leadership mentality with the ability to work closely with field personnel. Candidates currently outside Cincinnati who are interested in relocating are encouraged to apply. Project Environment The company maintains a diversified project portfolio that includes commercial and residential fire protection work , including downtown condominium remodels, single-family residential projects, office renovations, and other selected projects. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary of $80,000-$110,000 , depending on experience. Additional earning potential through sales opportunities. 401(k) with company match up to 3%.
