Full-Time About AJC Lawn & Gardening We are looking for a highly organized, accountable, and motivated Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from scheduling through completion. This is a hands-on management position for someone who understands landscaping, knows how to lead people, communicates professionally with customers, and can keep multiple crews and projects moving efficiently. Position Overview The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing landscaping and property maintenance projects while ensuring our crews meet AJC's standards and core values for quality, productivity, professionalism, and customer service . You will work closely with company leadership, office staff, crew leaders, field employees, customers, vendors, and subcontractors. This position requires someone who can solve problems independently, hold employees accountable, manage schedules and deadlines, and ensure jobs are completed correctly and profitably. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee landscaping and property maintenance projects Manage multiple crews, projects, and customer properties simultaneously Communicate daily expectations and project goals to crew leaders and field employees Visit job sites to monitor quality, productivity, safety, and project progress Ensure projects are completed according to scope, schedule, budget, and company standards Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, deliveries, and subcontractors Review project scopes and ensure crews understand exactly what needs to be completed Track labor hours and project progress against estimated hours and budgets Identify potential project delays or cost overruns before they become larger problems Communicate professionally with customers regarding scheduling, project progress, questions, and concerns Perform final project walkthroughs and quality-control inspections Document additional work and communicate potential change orders Perform field quotes and job planning. Maintain organized project notes, photos, schedules, and documentation Help develop crew leaders and employees into stronger, more productive team members Hold employees accountable to company expectations and performance standards Ensure company equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials are being properly used and maintained Enforce company safety policies and professional job-site standards Work with management to continuously improve systems, efficiency, and profitability What We're Looking For The right candidate is a leader and problem solver , not someone who needs to be constantly managed. You should be comfortable making decisions, giving direction, communicating with customers, and taking responsibility for the outcome of your projects. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of landscaping, construction, property maintenance, or related field experience preferred Previous experience as a Project Manager, Operations Manager, Foreman, Crew Leader, or similar leadership position strongly preferred Strong understanding of landscaping and property maintenance operations Experience managing employees and field crews Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable using smartphones, email, scheduling software, and project-management/CRM systems Ability to read estimates, scopes of work, site plans, and project specifications Understanding of labor hours, material costs, job costing, and project profitability is strongly preferred Valid driver's license with a clean and responsible driving record Ability to work outdoors and visit active job sites in varying weather conditions Why Join AJC Lawn & Gardening?
