We review all resumes; however, candidates with experience in the following areas are preferred: Hotel or corporate in-house AV Hotel or corporate freelance AV Convention centers, trade shows, sporting arenas, and exclusive event venues Operational & Technical Skill Set Expectations 1-2 years of AV management experience in a hospitality-related environment, including: Hotels Convention or conference centers Meeting and event facilities Support the Director of Event Technology in overseeing hotel AV operations and technicians, including: Building and maintaining positive working relationships with hotel management, support staff, clients, event planners, and KVL management Assisting with the scheduling and coordination of hotel AV technicians Strong AV sales experience with excellent attention to detail, including: Generating new business opportunities within the hotel and surrounding areas Prospecting, soliciting RFPs, and preparing client quotes Providing exceptional customer service and clear, professional communication Oversee AV equipment inventory and logistics, including: Sourcing and negotiating cross-rentals Ensuring rented equipment is returned safely and on time Maintaining open communication with other KVL property inventories Coordinating logistics for incoming and outgoing equipment Technical knowledge and hands-on AV capabilities, including: Audio General to advanced understanding of audio systems Ability to operate basic audio roles on analog and digital mixing consoles, as needed Video General to advanced understanding of video systems Ability to support basic video operations, including switching, projection, and graphics, as needed Lighting General to advanced understanding of lighting systems Ability to support basic lighting operations, including dimming, spotlighting, and stage washes, as needed Experience using uplighting to enhance a room's mood, texture, and overall event environment Professional Skill Set Expectations Ability to work diligently, calmly, and professionally under tight run-of-show deadlines Ability to communicate with clients, venue staff, and internal teams with professionalism and respect VIP-level customer service mindset; VIP event experience preferred Strong attention to detail, with an understanding that even small issues can have a major impact Team-first approach from planning through execution Experience working within hotel, corporate, or hospitality event operations
