Supv-Operations

POSITION OVERVIEW

Lead employees to ensure customer satisfaction by moving all shipments on time and damage free

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead, manage, educate and develop company employees focusing on retention and growthSupervise and direct employee work (including pre-shifts) with a focus on outstanding quality, customer deliverables and safety performance identifying and overseeing improvementActively monitor, record and educate employees regarding unsafe acts/conditions correcting immediately using corrective action as need. Provide feedback and follow-up with all impacted employees.



Plan daily manpower needs and set schedules to ensure customers' freight is delivered and picked-up timely and damage freeCommunicate job assignments coordinating with all employees ensuring direction is clear and conciseMonitor service freight and ensure cut time complianceMonitor, analyze and address all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies while maintaining rigorous safety standardsAssist customers with rate quotes, claim information and setting appointmentsMonitor actual performance data and gather information for reportingBuild relationships and positive communications with all business partners to ensure customers' and company's service standards are metIdentify freight moving at incorrect weight and classificationEnsure all OS&D is identified and processed properlyPerform administrative functions as requiredComply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresPerform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess high school diploma or equivalentMust be able to travel as neededGood written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsThorough knowledge of LTL Industry, DOT Rules and Regulations, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC and Tariff Rules, as well as company policies and procedures, preferredAble to work independently and as part of a teamMulti-tasked oriented and possess good organizational skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet

Annual Salary:

$56,978.00 - $90,026.00 The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location(s). If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the pay information represents the minimum and maximum range for all levels. Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment.
