Job Description

Job Summary The Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for supporting the oversight and success of operational maintenance activities. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including advanced troubleshooting, coordinating resources, and ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance actions are executed effectively to optimize system performance. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead and support technical teams in executing daily maintenance and repair activities in alignment with performance, safety, and scheduling standards. Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for complex repair issues. Review and ensure quality of work performed by field technicians. Coach and mentor team members to improve technical skills and performance. Assist with high-voltage (HV) operations and substation switching activities. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on generating assets, including BOP and SCADA systems. Conduct inspections and maintenance of substations and related equipment. Operational Support Assist the Operations Manager with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Help prioritize maintenance activities to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Support inventory management, including sourcing spare parts and specialty tools. Contribute to the creation and review of reports, work requests, and operational documentation. Promote and enforce safety standards through regular safety walks and compliance checks. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and KPIs. Act as backup to the Operations Manager when needed. Supervision Provide technical oversight and guidance to frontline operations staff. Support coordination and oversight of external contractors and vendors. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Technician or 3 years in a Lead Technician role. Skills & Competencies Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities. Knowledge of operational performance metrics and KPIs. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Solid understanding of safety practices and procedures. Effective communication and team leadership skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Working Conditions Approximately 20% office-based work involving computers and administrative tasks. Approximately 80% fieldwork, including troubleshooting, repairs, team support, and safety oversight. Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and industrial environments. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb, and use hands for tools and equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Comfortable working at heights and in mechanical environments. Ability to operate company vehicles on-site and on public roads. Maintain reliable attendance and a clean, organized work environment. Training Requirements Completion of a mandatory training and certification program at the start of employment (duration based on experience). Travel, accommodation, and expenses are provided.
Pay:
$30.00 - $46.00 per hour
