About JNS Facility Maintenance For more than 30 years, JNS Facility Maintenance has operated as a family-owned and operated company providing commercial cleaning services throughout Southeast Michigan. JNS has built our reputation on accountability, professionalism, and delivering consistent, high-quality service to our clients. Position Summary This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys working in the field and takes pride in solving problems and seeing immediate results. Approximately 70% of the role involves local travel to client locations. Spanish-speaking ability is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Multi-Site Operations Management Oversee daily operations across 40-60 commercial clients Conduct quality inspections to verify service, safety, and adherence to standards Proactively identify improvements and implement corrective action plans Maintain documentation of inspections and operational activities using software systems Coordinate during and after operations for event and one-time services Respond to urgent operational needs and after-hours service issues when necessary Workforce Leadership Lead onboarding, training, and performance of janitorial personnel Support development through coaching, relationship building, and evaluations Determine necessary staffing levels and manage timecards and time off approvals Partner with subcontractors to maintain quality standards and client satisfaction Inventory & Supply Management Conduct monthly inventory counts to maintain supply levels Monitor and anticipate inventory needs and coordinate restock Qualifications Required 5+ years of experience in operations management or a related field Demonstrated success leading workforce performance and operational execution Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Proficiency with mobile technology and Microsoft Office applications Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Spanish-speaking ability highly preferred Schedule This role primarily operates in the evening (Sunday-Thursday), with daytime administrative meetings weekly and evening field-based quality inspections. Flexibility is required to respond to urgent operational needs.
