Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operation Manager to oversee and optimize our logistics and last-mile delivery operations. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring service levels are met, improving efficiency, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, fleet management, warehouse operations, and delivery execution. Key Responsibilities 1. Logistics & Delivery Operations Oversee the end-to-end last-mile delivery process, ensuring timely and efficient parcel handling. Manage fleet teams and dispatch operations to maintain high delivery success rates. Monitor and enforce compliance with delivery timelines and service level agreements (SLAs). Coordinate with warehouse teams for smooth package handover and sorting. Address and resolve delivery exceptions, delays, and undeliverable packages. 2. Performance & Process Optimization Analyze key operational metrics (e.g., delivery success rates, cost per package, claims). Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs. Introduce automation and technology-driven solutions to enhance operations. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices. 3. Team Leadership & Vendor Management Lead, train, and develop dispatch, and delivery teams. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL), DSPs. Collaborate with HR to hire, onboard, and retain skilled operational staff. Ensure fleet teams meet performance benchmarks and compliance requirements. 4. Compliance & Safety Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal logistics regulations. Ensure warehouse and fleet operations adhere to safety guidelines. Conduct periodic audits to check for operational risks and compliance issues.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
3-5+ years in last-mile delivery operations preferred. Previous management experience required. Dispatch experience.Bilingual:
Spanish requiredEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities. Proficiency in logistics software, route optimization tools, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach. Effective communication and negotiation skills.Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:
