The Strategic Growth Coordinator supports the organization's strategic initiatives that strengthen communities, advance regional priorities, and help move important projects from idea to implementation. This role supports the organization by researching funding opportunities, assisting with grant and specialized funding applications, coordinating partner communications, and helping maintain the organized systems that keep projects moving forward with clarity and care. The Coordinator will work closely with internal staff and community partners, balancing careful administrative follow-through with outward-facing communication that helps partners stay informed, aligned, and supported. Our team is guided by a set of unique core values that drive our culture: Always Evolving CEO of Our Own Responsibilities Come to the Rescue Do the Right Thing Lead the Standing Ovation Position Responsibilities Research and identify grant opportunities that align with Lakeshore Advantage priorities and community impact goals Support the development, drafting, organization, and submission of grant applications and proposals Coordinate required materials, documentation, timelines, and partner inputs for funding opportunities Track awarded grants, reporting deadlines, compliance requirements, and application progress Assist with grant reporting, including data collection, narrative development, and outcome tracking Maintain organized records of grant-related materials, applications, correspondence, and follow-up needs Provide administrative support for incentive and tax abatement application processes, including documentation collection and submission tracking Support special initiatives, project tracking, internal tools, templates, standard operating procedures, and other organizational priorities as needed Preferred Skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly for a variety of audiences Strong research, analytical, project planning, and time management skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy and follow-through Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and partner needs at one time Collaborative, dependable, and comfortable working with both internal team members and external partners Curiosity and is willing to educate themselves about community and economic development, grant opportunities, funding processes, and compliance requirements Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in economic development, business, planning, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred. 1-3 years of experience in economic development, project management, administrative assistance, or grant writing Proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and deadlines. Hours & Location Full-time, 40 hours per week In-person, Holland, MI Some evenings and early mornings required.
